Get that song out of your head. Go ahead, just try. You are welcome. Yes, it’s as old as the hills, which means probably three months in Internet time. It’s still fun.

Took a whole crew to see “Up” on Saturday.
Do yourself a favour and take everyone you know to see this, we should reward complex, emotional storytelling in lieu of cheap crap. Best of all, you can take the whole family. The story was touching, funny, exhilarating, it has everything.
We all enjoyed it tremendously, and it seems that lots of other people did too.
Given that I need a bit of a jump start today, I thought these links were appropriate…
First we have a story about our next babysitter.
A prison official was giving a tour to some of his colleagues children at a jail in Florida when he decided to show them what a stun gun feels like. One that is strong enough to be issued to prison officers, 50 000 volts. Sigh. Worse yet, it seems the parents gave their permission in the first place. What the hell is in the water down there?
Of course he was fired, and then had the nards to be surprised about it. Actually on second thought, let’s hope he doesn’t have those so we don’t have to worry about accidental reproduction.
Moving on to something a little less electrifying, I saw this on ZeFrank.com the other day and enjoyed it. A little on the long side, but when you remember that it’s 4 nerds giving themselves electric shocks to their faces on purpose, it becomes funny again.
Enjoy.

Man, it must be hard to be a Billy Bob.
In case you haven’t been following this, Billy Bob Thornton and his band the Boxmasters made an appearance on a CBC radio show (inexplicably also filmed and available on YouTube, below) recently. Good old Billy Bob (can I call you Billy? or maybe Jerk?) took offense when the radio host mentioned that he is an actor too. Imagine that, he’s also an actor. Anyway, what followed was the strangest interview I have ever seen, and it amounted to a hissy fit of epic proportions. This man is off his rocker if he thinks his little band would be going anywhere if he wasn’t also globally known as an actor. His star power is opening doors for his music career, and then he pitches a fit when someone mentions that he’s an actor? It’s crazy. And no, Billy, you are not Tom Petty, that much is clear. Tom has been a legendary musician and recording for over 30 years, while you got bored with acting and started a vanity band a couple of years back. Also, from all accounts, Tom is a nice person.
Good times, and despite his recent apology to all of Canada, it seems that Billy can’t take the heat and is packing up his crap and leaving town, with his tour unfinished. Yep, that sure seems like what a professional musician would do. Good job.
You can’t have it both ways buddy.
Here’s Billy Bob making a fool of himself for everyone to see. It’s a credit to the host that he handled himself as coolly as he did to that pathetic display.

I’m as busy as can be at work, but I thought I would share this SIGNIFICANT use of the Internet with you today. A radio jingle singer, doing lots of different takes on a bread commercial. The music is darn good, and she has the pipes for sure. The only strange thing is that she seems to have a speech impediment that gives this otherwise normal video a rather surreal tinge.
That, and the fact that at about 4 minutes in they decide to change the name of the bread company a couple of times.
And the fact that “pattycake” has anything to do with bread.
Just see if you can keep this damn song out of your head for the next couple of hours. It’s infectious.

That is all.
Thank you, Boing Boing.
If you have never seen this, you haven’t been on the Internet very long, I bet your CAPS LOCK IS STILL ON. Do us all a favour and watch this first. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Now that you are slightly up to speed, understand that there is no good reason for that video to exist. It just does, it’s awesome, and that’s all there is to it. It’s also safe to say that the Internet is very good at amplifying things that are strange.
For instance…
That’s still pretty good stuff, lots of practice there too. Then we get something like this, and it transcends awesome and moves right on into art all by itself. This is some pretty fine editing folks.

I can only imagine how much time that actually took to do. There you go. Now you can take your CAPS LOCK OFF, get on Twitter, and pretend you know all about the Internets.
